Recipe: Lemon Ginger Detox Tea

A great warm detox beverage!  Green tea contains flavonoids and polyphenols, which have anti-aging and antioxidant effects, respectively.  Ginger also has high amounts of antioxidant effects, as well as anti-inflammatory and immune enhancing properties.  Lemon contains vitamin C, aids in digestion, and promotes hydration.  Raw honey is filled with phytonutrients, which have antioxidant effects and anti-inflammatory properties, and also aids in digestion.



  • 1 cup Green Tea
  • Lemon
  • Ginger
  • Raw honey



  1. Brew tea with near boiling water (the ideal temperature for green tea is 160-180°F, depending on the type of tea). Allow to steep for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add lemon, ginger, and honey to taste.
  3. Sit back and relax.
